Fashion/inspiration/influences: Traditional/Vintage
Color palette/special texture: The visual image created by the hand crafted on-the-furniture rub-off technique is normally only achieved through years of use and enjoyment. The subtle sophisticated blend of the hues and tones is a result of the combination of the multi-tone under coloration and the light top coat. When top coat is rubbed through after the leather has been upholstered, these blends are most evident on the natural wear points; seat tops, arm tops, seams, front panels, etc. The palette is one of traditional understatement; deep rich natural tones, very comforting and pleasing to the eye.

Techno facts: Quality hides are selected and processed utilizing the industry's most advanced and innovative technologies. James River hides are selected for their individual characteristics, including naturally occurring range markings; healed scars, brands, fat and neck wrinkles. A foundation color is applied to the aniline dyedcrust, then a second transparent color is applied and lastly a specially formulated top coat is applied. The top coat is rubbed off by the furniture maker, after the seating piece is upholstered, creating a one-of-a-kind look for each piece. The finish is self sealing and will resist every day stains and spills.
